season and the Los Angeles Rams (4-0) have maintained their 2-game buffer on the rest of NFC West. Starting this week Eric Dickerson Jersey , the Rams will be embarking on a 3-game road trip, leaving California for the first time this season. Week 5 will find the Rams in hostile territory in Seattle. And now for a quick reminder for what happened the last time the Rams found themselves in the Pacific NorthwestLos Angeles Chargers 29, San Francisco 49ers 2749ers leadersPassing: C.J. Beathard 23-37, 298 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTsRushing: Matt Breida 9 rushes, 39 yardsReceiving: George Kittle 6 receptions, 125 yards, 1 TDThe 49ers (1-3) jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead on the Chargers, courtesy of a Philip Rivers pick-six from S Antone Exum Jr. and a 2-yard touchdown toss from Beathard to WR Kendrick Bourne. Despite some really strange kicking woes for the Chargers (Caleb Sturgis went 0-2 on extra points and 3-4 field goals), the Chargers evened the score at 17 by halftime. The Chargers opened up the second half scoring 9 unanswered (missed extra points, the Chargers could make Justin Tucker bad at kicking) before the 49ers responded with an 82-yard touchdown from Beathard to Kittle. The 49ers briefly took the lead early in the 4th quarter, 27-26, after a Robbie Gould field goal. The Chargers responded with a field goal on the following drive to take the lead for good. The final 2 drives for the 49ers totaled 6 plays and 31 yards and included a game-sealing interception by DE Isaac Rochell just short of the two-minute warning. Next week: vs. Arizona Cardinals (0-4)Seattle Seahawks 20 Marshall Faulk Jersey , Arizona Cardinals 17Seahawks LeadersPassing: Russell Wilson 19-26, 172 yardsRushing: Mike Davis 21 carries, 101 yards, 2 TDsReceiving: Tyler Lockett 5 receptions, 53 yardsCardinals LeadersPassing: Josh Rosen 15-27, 180 yards, 1 TDRushing: David Johnson 22 carries, 71 yards, 1 TDReceiving: Ricky Seals-Jones 2 receptions, 52 yardsAnother win, another game reliant on rushing and defense for the Seahawks (2-2). Thanks to a 101-yard effort from Davis, the Seahawks managed 171 yards on the ground, nearly matching Wilson’s passing yards. The Seahawks held the Cardinals (0-4) to only 263 yards. For the Cardinals, it was the first career start for Rosen Nolan Cromwell Jersey , the 10th overall pick in this year’s draft. While the stats aren’t crazy, Rosen looked poised and confident. Rosen’s first career touchdown pass came in the 4th quarter on a 22-yard strike to WR Chad Williams to tie the game at 17. Rosen even led a 12-play, 49 yard drive that killed 5 and a half minutes of time and left the Seahawks with no timeouts or two-minute warning to stop the clock. But K Phil Dawson missed the 45-yard go-ahead field goal and left the Seahawks with a short field to kick a winner of their own. 31 yards later, K Sebastian Janikowski hit a 52-yard field goal as time expired. The play in which Rosen threw his first career touchdown pass also resulted in the biggest injury news this week. Seahawks safety and the last member of the Legion of Boom Earl Thomas suffered a broken leg and had to leave the game on a cart after being put in an air cast. On his ride to the locker room, he gave a salute in the direction towards the Seahawks sidelineThomas is in the final year of his contract and was holding out for a new deal prior to the season. This injury comes just as reports started to surface that the Kansas City Chiefs were looking into acquiring Thomas as a one-year rental to bolster their secondary. In what will likely be his final season as a Seahawk, Thomas finished with 3 interceptions in 4 games. As a fan of the league’s greatest competitors, I wish Thomas a speedy recovery and best of luck wherever he may land next season.Next week for Seattle: vs. Los Angeles Rams (4-0)Next week for Arizona: @ San Francisco 49ers (1-3) Ty Montgomery's fourth-quarter fumble on a kickoff return was only the final big blow to the Green Bay Packers' hopes of knocking off the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams.Montgomery's mistake was far from the only error Sunday that left Green Bay's half of the rowdy Coliseum crowd going home unhappy despite an occasionally inspired effort by their team."That play didn't lose the game, but it definitely took away an opportunity for us to go down and win it," Aaron Rodgers said of Montgomery's fumble.Other plays loomed just as large to Rodgers and coach Mike McCarthy after the Rams salted away their 29-27 victory without letting Rodgers touch the ball in the final 5:20.The Packers were on the brink of a statement victory after rallying from a 10-point deficit late in the third quarter. Green Bay had a one-point lead and the ball with 6:49 to play, but the Packers only ended up making a statement about their own inconsistency."You got to play a fully complete game, and we didn't do that," said receiver Davante Adams, who had five catches for 133 yards.A sequence in the second quarter fundamentally switched the momentum away from the Packers (3-3-1), who had built a 10-0 lead 鈥?the largest anybody has taken on the Rams all season long 鈥?shortly before halftime thanks to outstanding work on both sides of the ball."We came out with that energy Kurt Warner Jersey ," Packers nose tackle Kenny Clark said. "We started really fast. Like I said earlier, I think we did a lot of good things. It's just disappointing for us to lose the game."Sam Shields started the momentum swing against his former team when he tiptoed along the goal line to down a punt by Johnny Hekker, trapping the Packers at their 1. Green Bay's next play was a run up the middle by Aaron Jones, and the Rams' fearsome defensive front stuffed it for a safety.Los Angeles awoke after that stop, both in the stands and on the field. Jared Goff's offense immediately drove for its first touchdown in the final minute of the first half. The Packers lamented losing that hard-earned momentum after a largely stellar defensive first half. Green Bay sacked Jared Goff five times, including twice by Clark, and had eight tackles for loss against LA's powerhouse offense."They've had the success they've had with a lot smoke and mirrors, good play-calling, speed and misdirection," Packers linebacker Clay Matthews said. "We came out and made it kind of dirty and grimy, really got after them, hit the quarterback. Obviously they found their footing in the second half, maybe late in the first half. But then we put it back on them at the end of the game. We did just enough for our offense to get down there. It really is a shame the way in which we dropped that game. You'd like to think, if we see these guys again ... but at 3-3-1 Joe Namath Jersey , we need to start winning these games."Rodgers still had the ball with the chance to lead a clock-draining drive with 6:49 left. Instead, the Rams lost 6 yards on three plays before a 25-yard punt by JK Scott. The Rams got a go-ahead field goal on the short field, and Montgomery fumbled moments later. The Packers realize they're gaining a reputation as a team that plays to the level of its opposition. As they reach the midpoint of their season, they know they're running out of time to put together full games 鈥?particularly since their next game is at mighty New England."I don't understand that, honestly," Clark said. "In my mind, I swear, if we play games like that, we're going to win a lot of games. I don't really know how else to explain it. We've got to come out there like that every game. I really feel like we can get teams on their heels, and with the offense that we have, we can put up points and get up on guys easy."
