Just finishing the trial run of a musical theater summer camp for kids, Xiaoke sat down with the Global Times and shared the story that led him on the path to writing and producing musicals.


"As I look back now, I feel that my watershed moment came at the age of 36. Ever since that year, both my life and career have become very rich and colorful," the 43-year-old musician recalled.


"What changed me were musicals."
