KATHMANDU, Dec. 19 (Xinhua)-- Giving up its earlier decision to develop Kathmandu-Terai Fast Track road project under the public private partnership (PPP) model, Nepal's Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has planned to implement it under the direct government investment.


The ministry has been planning to take soft loan from the World Bank for the project implementation. The Fast Track road is projected to cost 100 billion Nepalese rupees (1.05 billion U.S. dollars).


The four-lane project is intended to link Nepal's capital with Terai and other southern bordering parts within four hours Men's Nike Air Vapormax Plus Black UK , which otherwise takes around eight hours.


The much talked about 76 km expressway had been uncertain in the third week of September after none of the three short-listed Indian firms submitted the request for proposal to undertake the project relinquished it.

He added the World Bank has shown interest in lending soft loan for the project worth 500 million U.S. dollars.
