The 2019 Senior Bowl has been a touch and go affair so far. If there’s a guy to link with the Jaguars in the second round it’s him.9:00 AM: We didn’t get any practices yesterday but we did get some scoops! The Jaguars have met with Drew Lock and Tyree Jackson. Both are worthy of a second or third round pick, so it could be that they’re doing their due diligence to make a plan to grab a non-quarterback (offensive tackle maybe?) at No. 7 overall and then pick a second-tier guy later. Coming off of a disappointing loss to the division rival Tennessee Titans, the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1) look to rebound against the New York Jets (1-2). That means it is time to review the head-to-head history between the two franchises. The history recap is pretty intriguing this week, as these two teams aren’t extremely familiar with each other, but have met 13 times previously. It’s been a series of runs in terms of wins. Let’s break it down. The first four meetings saw a two-to-two win split, but the Jags then won four of the following five games, and the Jets have now taken the last four meetings. So it seems to be a series of streaks, or periods of time where one team is dominating the other. New York carved up the Jaguars on the ground with 255 rushing yards. Bortles completed just 42 percent of his passes and threw a costly pick late in the third quarter that led to a field goal for the Jets. Myles Jack breathed new life into the Jags with an 81-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and Jason Myers (now a Jet) tied the game at 20 and forced overtime. Jacksonville held Chris Ivory and the New York rushing attack to 29 rushing yards on 28 attempts (1.03 yards per carry). But in typical 2015 Jaguars fashion, they turned the ball over four times — Blake Bortles had three of which, throwing two interceptions and fumbling twice (losing one). The Jets were able to capitalize and walked away with the victory. More than half of the games in the series have been decided by seven points or less. Only four games were decided by 14 points or more. The Jaguars outscored the Jets 129 to 58 in the five meetings during the 2000s. The Jets have outscored the Jaguars 100-56 during their current four-game winning streak. On paper Jermey Parnell Jersey , the Jaguars should destroy the Jets with rookie quarterback Sam Darnold playing against this vaunted defense. But it was New York’s rushing attack that was too much for Jacksonville to handle last season. The Jags, while still not great against the rush, have vastly improved in that area since last year’s game against the Jets.
