"Persons living with disability in this country have to endure hardships and pain, and despite enactment of many laws, the public still retains an indifferent attitude to many of us," Mburu said.
He is a primary school teacher in a small town situated 50 kilometers northeast of the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
Mburu was bubbling with energy and passion during his teenage years, and could not fathom the onset of a debilitating ailment that left him paralyzed.
